We built Handiwa so that trusting a stranger with your home, car or wedding day never has to feel like a gamble.
Four layers of protection on every job
1. Identity verified taskers
Every tasker submits a valid Nigerian ID (NIN, Driver’s License, Passport or PVC) before their first booking. Verified profiles carry a green badge you can always see.
2. Escrow-protected payments
You pay online when booking, but the tasker does not receive the money until you approve the completed job. Nobody gets paid for work that did not happen.
3. Ratings that follow you
Customers review every completed job, and taskers rate customers too. Poor service means fewer jobs — so taskers are motivated to do great work every time.
4. Fair dispute resolution
If a job goes wrong, raise it within 48 hours. Our support team reviews messages, photos and payment records, and can hold or refund money while it is resolved.

- ⚠️Always book through the platform so your job is covered by support and escrow.
- ⚠️Report anything suspicious immediately — our team acts on reports within hours.
For taskers
Only start work on jobs confirmed through the platform, and always confirm the customer\u2019s identity at the door. Your safety matters as much as the customer\u2019s.
